National Petrochemical & Refiners Association Bestows 5 AwardsThe National Petrochemical & Refiners Association awarded Total Safety five awards for Meritorious Safety Performance at the following locations for achieving a 0.0 Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) in 2008.

Total Safety received a Bronze Safety Award for Outstanding Safety Performance while working at ExxonMobil’s Torrance Refinery. Total Safety’s safety solutions and services included: safety personnel, turnaround safety applications and Total Safety’s patented High Pressure Breathing Air Loop System.
RasGas Drilling Operations located in Doha, Qatar awarded Total Safety their Safety Recognition Award in appreciation for achieving the safety milestone of five years without a recordable incident and for contributing excellent safety services support to RasGas.
At the Rhodia Contractor Awards Luncheon, Total Safety was presented with a Safety Performance Contractor Award in recognition of Outstanding Safety Performance during the Dominguez Plant January 2009 turnaround. Total Safety provided rescue services, breathing air protection and gas detection.
Houston Business Journal awards Total Safety with Healthcare Hero AwardThe Houston Business Journal’s first annual Healthcare Heroes Awards honored Total Safety’s Remote/Offshore Paramedic Bryan Hofmann with the First Responder Award for his work providing expert medical care to offshore oil & gas workers who would otherwise have no access to medical treatment.
Total Safety won the Innovation Award for the implementation of its Air Cobra and High Pressure Breathing Air Loop Systems (HPLS) which provides high volumes of Grade D breathing air to large numbers of personnel working simultaneously.
The second award was for Safety Excellence, which was awarded to Total Safety because of its excellent safety record, focus on safety through safety management systems and active employee safety involvement.
In the 22nd Annual Safety Excellence Awards, Total Safety won the Silver Award in the Specialty Contractor Technical Support Large category. Total Safety was nominated by Houston Business Roundtable member companies for their excellent safety records while working on their particular site locations.
Total Safety’s Anchorage, AK office received a safety award for performing seven years of safety services without a recordable injury.
